Tall ship sets sail for Orkney

The tall ship Gulden Leeuw  left Amsterdam at the weekend en route to Orkney, with six sail trainees from the islands among the crew.

The ship is due to arrive in Stromness later this week. Day and evening sails in Scapa Flow and to the Old May of Hoy have then been arranged, taking place over the Easter weekend.

Tickets are still available and can be bought from various outlets including OTE in Stromness, Grooves and Orkney Ferries in Kirkwall, or on the day, one hour before sailing at Stromness Pier.
