Blistering time for Hoy Half Marathon winner

The annual Hoy Half Marathon took place yesterday, Sunday, in bright but cool conditions.

The winner was Timothy Ross in the blistering time of 1.15.22, over four minutes ahead of second place of James Nelson in 1.19.46, with David Grant taking third place in a time of 1.26.22.

In the Ladies, first place went to Sarah Drever in 1.40.29, followed by Rachel Lunney in 1.42.23 and Erin Rendall in 1.43.17. In addition to the main event, 50 runners of all ages took part in the Hoy 5k Family Fun Run.

Net year’s race will take place on June 12, with entry opening at the beginning of February 2016.
