Celebrating 20 years of the Pickaquoy Centre

A raft of special activities were held at the Pickaquoy Centre in Kirkwall, yesterday, to mark 20th anniversary of the official opening of the leisure centre.

The Pickaquoy Centre celebrated the 20th anniversary of their official opening yesterday with an open day of free and discounted activities.

Around 2,500 people went along to take part in the celebration throughout the day with free access to the pool, the inflatables and Jungle World alongside a variety of other activities throughout the centre.

It was a fantastic day with people from across the island and the outer isles joining in the celebration.

Those at the Pickaquoy Centre have given a special thanks to their customers that have supported them over the past 20 years, and said they look forward to serving the community for many years to come.
