Clinic mobilised to terminal after worker tests positive
COVID precautions are in place at Flotta Oil Terminal after a worker tested positive for the virus.
A Repsol Sinopec spokeswoman said last night: “We can confirm an employee on Flotta Oil Terminal has tested positive with COVID-19.
“The affected person has been isolated and investigations are underway. We have advised all workers on Flotta, as well as those who have recently departed, and all necessary precautions are being taken.
“We are following our COVID-19 response procedures and the individual has been isolated and close contacts identified.”
The company added: “In order mitigate risk to our people, their families and local communities, employees currently on site will stay onsite overnight (Monday 25th January) in the residential area of the terminal.
“The Aberdeen Clinic (TAC) is mobilising to the terminal on Tuesday 26th January to carry out testing of all employees.
“Ensuring the health, safety and well-being of our people is our top priority.”
