Deerness Distillery awarded Spirit Masters silver medals

The two Deerness Distillery products which have been awarded silver medals, Sea Glass Gin and Into the Wild Vodka.

Two products from Orkney’s Deerness Distillery have been awarded silver medals at the Global Luxury Spirit Masters competition.

The distillery received the awards for their Sea Glass Gin and Into the Wild Vodka, with the results of the competition being announced earlier this month, on Thursday, September 7.

Managing Director at Deerness Distillery, Stuart Brown commented that they are over the moon with their silver medals amidst tough competition.

He said: “The result has come from a lot of hard work from the team at Deerness Distillery and helps firmly stamp Orkney as a leading spirits producing island”.

The Global Luxury Masters only takes super-premium spirits into consideration. Assessed by a panel of leading spirits specialists, the spirits are judged in a blind tasting. Excellence is recognised by category and is judged on appearance, aroma and flavour.
