Development and infrastructure committee to convene in Shapinsay
People in Shapinsay will be able to put questions to the OIC’s development and infrastructure committee at a special meeting on the island next week.
Members of the committee are spending the day in Shapinsay on Wednesday, January 9.
The visit will include at a public meeting between noon and 2pm at the island’s primary school.
“Our day in Shapinsay follows an earlier successful visit to Hoy, Walls and Longhope,” said committee chairman, Councillor James Stockan. “Like that visit, this is an opportunity for people in Shapinsay to talk to us about current and future issues which are likely to feature on the committee’s agenda in the months and years ahead.
“We’re keen to discuss broader issues as well – for all of us this will be a valuable opportunity to gain a greater understanding of matters that are important to the local community.”
