Earl Thorfinn set for repairs

MV Earl Thorfinn is to undergo repairs, this week, following a mechanical failure onboard the North Isles vessel.

The breakdown, last Friday afternoon, affected the ship’s bow thruster. It is hoped the vessel will be able to return to normal service later this week.

In the meantime, Orkney Ferries says it is working hard to accommodate all booked passengers throughout this period of disruption. This involves some combined sailings and changes to departure and arrival times. The company is advising to regularly check the their website for updates.
