Final Day of Shopping Week

After a busy few days, the 67th Stromness Shopping Week draws to a close today.

Today’s highlights include: the Holms Race which starts at 10.30, the Ferry Inn 10k run at 11.10, children’s fancy dress 3-legged race at 11.30 and a new water event for this year, the snake race, which takes place at 1pm.

The week’s events culminate with the annual fancy dress parade and float procession tonight, which starts at 7pm and is followed by an open-air dance and firework display at the Pierhead from 9.45 pm – 11pm.
