Find out more about cash for community projects

Community groups in Orkney are invited to a free event next month to learn how Climate Challenge Fund (CCF) grants, of up to £150,000 per annum, could fund their community projects.

The event, at the St Magnus Centre, Kirkwall, on February 7, has been organised by Keep Scotland Beautiful in partnership with Orkney Islands Council, Energy Saving Scotland Advice Centre, Highlands and Islands and the Scottish Government.

Fourteen orkney projects are among the 550 across Scotland who have already received over £44 million of CCF funding to reduce carbon footprint and make community improvements.

Funded projects have including energy efficiency improvements in community halls, energy efficiency advice, lower carbon transport and reducing, reusing and recycling.
