First inter-county in new KGS

The second-leg of the annual badminton match between Orkney and Caithness will be the first inter-county clash at the new Kirkwall Grammar School.

The encounter is due to take place this afternoon.

It will see Orkney and Caithness’s ‘A’ and ‘B’ badminton teams going head-to-head.

After the first leg, in Caithness, both the ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams are locked at 6-6 and, with Orkney having home advantage, hopes are high for a good result in the return leg.

The match starts at 4pm, and spectators are welcome to go along and cheer on the players.
