First night honours for St Andrews Drama Club
The St Andrews Drama Club took the honours on the opening night of the 2015 drama festival with their production of Lynn Brittney’s Dig for the Diggers.
Adjudicator Russell Boyce praised all three plays performed, declaring it had been a good night of theatre.
Tonight sees another three groups take to the stage at the Orkney Theatre:
- Palace Players (Bishops) with Baby Sparklers (drama with some humour, by Frank Gibbons, directed by Jane Harcus)
- Stromness Drama Club with Brenton Versus Brenton (a farce by David Tristram and directed by Graham Garson)
- Birsay Drama Group (Greenay Allsorts) with The Man on the Floor (comedy by Neil Simon, directed by Margaret Irvine)
