Full-scale sea search underway in Hoy Sound

It is understood that a full-scale sea search is being conducted in Hoy Sound, this morning, following the activation of an emergency distress beacon in the area.

Stromness and Longhope Lifeboat crews are currently searching the area. It is believed that they are being assisted by a team from the Coastguard, as well as rescue crews from Kirkwall, Hoy, and Stromness.
