Get the blues in Stromness
Stromness will come alive with music this weekend, as over 20 blues acts perform at the annual Orkney Blues Festival.
The four-day event officially gets under way tonight at the Stromness Town Hall, with a ticketed family-friendly concert featuring appearances by The Jeff Jolly Band, Roy Mette and The Driftwood Cowboys.
The Tommy Bentz Band and the Gerry Jablonski Band will complete the line-up of visiting bands, while local acts, The Ian Cooper Experience; Cosmic Soup; Craig Rendall; The Andy Taylor Group; The Polkadots; Snarx; The Kniptions; Rocker; The Hoodoomen; Replay; Camron Dowell and The KGB; Sophie Balcombe; Charlotte Wallhead; Tommy Bichan and Ray O’Neil will perform in the town’s venues across the weekend.
Sunday’s ticketed grand finale, featuring all four headliners, takes place in the Stromness Hotel on Sunday.
