Highlands and Islands award nomination for local gin

Kirkjuvagr Orkney Gin is amongst the finalists for this year’s Highlands and Islands Food and Drink Awards.

The gin, produced by Orkney Distilling, in Kirkwall, is nominated for the annual competition’s Best Drink Award. It is up against five other drinks produced around the Highlands and Islands.

The winners of the competition will be announced by renowned food critic, journalist and broadcaster, Jay Rayner on October 20, during a ceremony in Inverness.

The awards, now in their 13th year, are delivered with support from Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE).
