Home victory for First XV

Orkney Rugby Club’s First XV beat Gordonians 28-13 at Picky this afternoon  in what was their penultimate league match of the season.

An action-packed opening to the match saw the scoreline read 11-8 in Orkney’s favour after just ten minutes, with the hosts attacking well and adding two more tries before half-time.

Orkney added a fourth try midway through the second half to secure a bonus point and put the result beyond any doubt, before Gordonians rounded off the scoring with a converted consolation try in the closing seconds of the game.
