Home win sees First XV lift Caledonia Shield

A 27-10 win over Glenrothes at Pickaquoy this afternoon saw Orkney Rugby Club’s First XV declared winners of the BT Caledonia Shield.

The fixture was a double-header, serving as the final of the BT Caledonia Shield and the league fixture originally due to have been played on March 7.

As well as getting their hands the silverware, Orkney extend their lead at the top of BT Caledonia League Division 1 by five points.

The Caledonia Shield victory will now see Orkney face GHK in the semi-finals of the BT Shield.
