Illustrated talk by North Sea rowers

The Icelandic rowers who have just crossed the North Sea to Orkney will give an illustrated talk on the project and their voyage at the lecture hall at Orkney College at 7.30pm tomorrow evening, Wednesday.

Tom Muir, from Orkney Museum, will also present folk tales and saga stories that link Norway, Orkney and Iceland.

The Museum has helped the team with their research into our shared heritage and in making contacts in both Orkney and the Faroe Islands, the next destination on their journey to Iceland.

The event is sponsored by the Orkney Heritage Society and admission is free of charge.
