Administrative & Accounts Assistant
(Part-time daily hours)

We are looking for an assistant to join our dynamic sales and administration team, to provide support with administrative and accounts tasks across the divisions of Orkney Media Group – The Orcadian, Print Orkney, The Orcadian Bookshop and Orknet.

The role
Based at our Hatston headquarters, you will be a key member of the sales and admin team, carrying out a variety of office administration and accounting tasks. You will be responsible for invoicing, banking and inputing data to Sage accounting software, as well as dealing with customer enquiries, maintaining customer accounts and handling the daily post and banking between our Albert Street and Hatston shop floors.

Who are we looking for?
You’ll be working among a small friendly team of staff, so ideally you will be be a warm, outgoing, diligent and reliable team player, with a good eye for detail.

A driving licence is essential, and we’d like you to be proficient in Microsoft Office software, but training will be offered for various aspects of the job.

Terms and benefits
25 hours per week (9.30am-3pm), finishing early on Friday.
24.5 days annual leave.
