Kirkwall BID has a new manager
A new manager for the Kirkwall BID has been appointed.
According to BID acting chairman Bill Stout, Carly Tait will be known to many among the membership of the BID from her time with VisitScotland. She will commence duties with Kirkwall BID in late July.
Giving further updates, Mr Stout said that following the meeting of BID members in Kirkwall Town Hall back in April, the new board of Kirkwall BID Ltd is continuing to make progress in rebuilding the BID.
Mr Stout said that the first priority had been to recruit the new BID manager.
He added: “The board is delighted to announce that someone with a very successful track record in marketing has been appointed to the part-time role.”
In his update, he further explained that the board has decided to continue following the existing BID arrangements and Business Plan, as originally set up for an initial five-year period and mandated by the ballot held in 2013.
