Kirkwall road closures extended due to severe weather

The road closure at the entrance to Bridge Street, Kirkwall, and associated changes in Albert Street and Laing Street has been extended for another two weeks.

Orkney Islands Council has said the area is now expected to re-open to traffic on Monday, February 19.

According to the council, this is due to construction delays on the Harbour Street Paving project as a result of recent severe weather and poor conditions forecast over the coming days.
