Kirkwall Thorfinn crowned ‘A’ League champions

Kirkwall Thorfinn FC lifted the Brough Cup tonight, as they were crowned Orkney Cheese ‘A’ League champions for the 28th time.

Requiring just a point against Dounby, they beat the West Mainland side with ease, sealing the title with a 5-0 victory.

The three points mean, with one game remaining, Thorfinn have an eight-point lead over second-placed Stromness.

It has been a deserved title win for the defending champions, who have dominated the ‘A’ League this term, losing just once.
