Kirkwall’s man begins row north from Newcastle
A crew of eight rowers, including Kirkwall’s Davie Flett, have kicked off an impressive 350-mile journey from Newcastle, Quayside to Orkney this afternoon.The ambitious journey is predicted to last seven to ten days, with Eyemouth, Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen all scouted as possible stop-off points along the way (weather permitting!)
