Local thespians gear up for second night of Drama Festival

This evening, three more teams are expected to take centre stage for the second night of the Scottish Community Drama Association (SCDA) Orkney District Festival.

Kicking off at 7.30pm in The Orkney Theatre, Kirkwall, three one act plays are due to be performed by local clubs:

• Stromness Drama Club (Hamnavoe) – The Widows of Clyth (Act 1) by Donald Campbell
• Palace Players (Bishops) – Silent Night by Colin and Mary Crowther
• Deerness Drama Group – Far Away by Caryl Churchill

The top three plays and additional prizes will be announced on the final night of the festival, tomorrow, March 3.
