Longhope Lifeboat in Pentland Firth rescue
Longhope Lifeboat was launched this afternoon to go to the aid of the crew of a survey boat with four people on board which had broken down in the Pentland Firth.
A spokesman for Shetland Coastguard, who co-ordinated the rescue, said that the lifeboat crew were called out shortly after 2.15pm and headed for the vessel, Advance, which was being held off the shore west of Brims, by a smaller vessel.
The lifeboat headed for the scene and took the vessel under tow, heading for Stromness, through Scapa Flow.
