Longhope Lifeboat launched to yacht

Longhope Lifeboat was called out today, Friday, to go to the aid of a yachtsman who became unwell onboard his vessel which was at anchor off South Ronaldsay.
The lifeboat launched around 11am to head for the yacht which was in Widewall Bay.
The RNLI crew took the man off the yacht and transferred him to Scapa Pier where they were met by an ambulance to take the casualty to hospital.
Kirkwall Coastguard Rescue Team were also in attendance at Scapa.
