Man admits disorderly behaviour charge
A Kirkwall man has admitted conducting himself in a disorderly manner in the town’s Bruce’s Stores on Victoria Street on Sunday.
Appearing from custody at Kirkwall Sheriff Court today, Norman Garson Wood, 42, 10 Buttquoy Park, pleaded guilty to opening a can of cider after being told not to by a staff member, and refusing to leave when asked.
Sheriff Graeme Napier deferred sentence until Thursday, for Wood to make an appointment with his GP to seek prescribed medication to assist with his alcohol problem.
Bail was granted with the condition that he does not enter Bruce’s Stores.
