Man dies at Kirbister Loch

A 56-year-old man has died after getting into difficulty on Kirbister Loch, according to Police.

Officers say that at around 1pm on Wednesday, May 11, emergency services were in attendance at the loch in Orphir, and the man was removed from the water. However, he sadly died at the scene.

His next of kin has been made aware.

Enquiries into the full circumstances are ongoing, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
