Man killed in West Mainland traffic accident named

The man killed in yesterday morning’s traffic accident, on a stretch of road near Twatt, has been named locally as Dounby man Keith Johnston.

It is understood Mr Johnston, a council worker, was part of a road maintenance team and the vehicle involved was a council-owned lorry, also involved in the road works.
