Meetings continue over County Show

Following the meeting of the Orkney Agricultural Society which took place on Monday, after which it was confirmed that the County Show looks set go ahead at the Bignold Park in Kirkwall, Orkney Islands Council have confirmed that a further meeting is taking place on the issue today.

Representatives of the council and the Orkney Agricultural Society were today due to hold one of a series of regular meetings this afternoon.

The council says that it is monitoring ground conditions at the Bignold Park and will continue to work with, and remain in close contact with the OAS.

OAS previously said that the decision on the show will remain under review, subject to weather and ground conditions.
