MGS board appointment for Nordic Studies director
Dr Donna Heddle, Kirkwall-based director of the University of the Highlands and Islands’ Centre for Nordic Studies, has been appointed as a board member at Museums Galleries Scotland (MGS).

A not-for-profit, independent charitable trust, MGS is currently undergoing the transition to become the National Development Body for museums and galleries in Scotland in April 2013, and is the main conduit for Scottish Government funding to the sector.
Dr Heddle, joins six other new members on the 13-strong board.
