Missing monk formally identified

The body of a man found in the water near the island of Papa Stronsay has been formally identified as Justin Evans, also known as Brother Ignatius Maria.

Mr Evans, a monk, had been reported missing from the island on Sunday, April 12.

His body was discovered on Wednesday, May 6.

His relatives are aware.

Police say that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
