New Vice Lord-Lieutenant for Orkney appointed

Her Majesty the Queen has approved the appointment of Keith Johnson as Vice-Lord Lieutenant of Orkney.

Mr Johnson, from Birsay, is a former islands councillor and will assist Orkney’s Lord-Lieutenant, Bill Spence, with official duties.

Mr Spence expressed his delight at Mr Johnson’s appointment and said:”I will appreciate his help and assistance going forward.”
