New Year’s Day Ba’ games to get under way

The New Year’s Day Ba’ games are set to get under way today.

The boys’ ba’, made by Danny Bain, will be thrown up by Bryan Guthrie at 10am.

The Men’s New Year’s Day Ba’ is then due to start at 1pm.

The men’s ba’, made by Edgar Gibson, will be thrown up by Doonie Sandy McConnachie, who won his ba’ 25 years ago on New Year’s Day, 1989.

Spoils were shared in the Christmas Day Ba’ games, with Doonie Ben Stout winning the boys’ game and Uppie Thorfinn Craigie claiming the men’s ba’.
