NHS Orkney services return to normal following connectivity issues
While NHS Orkney has experienced connectivity issues, they have assured the public that their services will be resuming as normal. Apologising for the disruption, they said that those patients who lost appointments will be contacted to reschedule them.
A spokeswoman from NHS Orkney said:
“NHS Orkney has experienced connectivity issues with clinical systems hosted through a link with NHS Grampian, however the situation has improved, and services are returning to normal operating levels including our clinics and theatre activity.
“A small number of patients were affected yesterday, and staff will be in contact to re-schedule their appointments at the soonest opportunity. We would like to apologise to those patients who experienced disruption and reassure the community that we are working with partners to ensure our services continue to run safely.”
