No serious injuries after Stenness road accident

The emergency services were called to a road accident involving two vehicles in Stenness this afternoon.

No one is believed to have been seriously injured in the collision which occurred on the main A965 Kirkwall to Stromness route, according to a police spokesman.

Police were called to the scene at 3.50pm and a recovery truck was later called.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Scottish Ambulance Service also attended the scene.

A diversion is believed to be in place.
