Numbers sought for Longhope Lifeboat commemorations

As the 50th anniversary of the Longhope Lifeboat disaster approaches, RNLI Longhope and Longhope Lifeboat Museum Trust are seeking to confirm the number of people who are interested in attending the commemoration events planned for Sunday, March 17.
Trust chairman and lifeboat coxswain Kevin Kirkpatrick explained that a special boat service will operate on the day, at times to be confirmed.
He explained that the deadline for confirming numbers is the end of this month, January.
He added: “If you are interested in joining us to remember those we lost, please reply before the end of January at the latest, with names and total number of guests via email at: longhope50@gmail.com or ring the lifeboat station at 01856 701333.”
