Weekend dump closures in Kirkwall and Stromness

Dumps in Kirkwall and Stromness will be closed for one day each, this weekend, due to “operational reasons”, Orkney Islands Council (OIC) has confirmed.

The dump at Hatston will be open on Saturday but closed on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Garson site in Stromness will be closed on Saturday but open on Sunday.

OIC has apologised for any inconvenience this may cause, and hopes to ensure minimal disruption to services.
