Stromness set to hear skirl of the pipes in mass band parade

The pipe bands of two towns 3,300 miles apart are set to renew a transatlantic friendship with a special Stromness event.

A mass pipeband street parade will take place on Sunday, with stars of the show, the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band, having travelled all the way from Ontario, Canada, joining friends Stromness, while Kirkwall, Thurso and Wick will also feature.
