Orkney distilleries nominated for Scottish Gin Awards

Two Orkney gin distilleries have been shortlisted for this year’s Scottish Gin Awards.

Orkney Distilling Ltd. have been nominated in two categories — Distilled Gin of the Year and  Excellence in Marketing — while Orkney Gin Company are up for Speciality Gin of the Year.

The awards, sponsored by The Scottish Gin Society, cover both taste and business performance. 75 Scottish gins were judged earlier this month by a highly experienced judging panel, consisting of some of Scotland’s foremost gin and distilling experts.

Winners will be announced at the Scottish Gin Awards dinner and celebration on Thursday, September, 14, in Glasgow.
