Kerry crowned Orkney Master Chef 2015
Kerry Leask, from Kirkwall, has won this year’s Orkney Master Chef competition.
Held last night in the Orkney Theatre, the culinary competition, organised by Orkney Food and Drink, saw four amateur chefs each cook a starter, main course and dessert, using local produce.
Kerry’s menu included Surf n’ Turf fishcakes, Raspberrylicious Duck and Orkney Fudge Pudding.
Callum McInnes, chairman of Orkney Food and Drink, said that the overall standard from all four chefs taking part in the competition, was extremely high.
The judges, who included last year’s winner, Foveran chef Roddy Belford, felt that Kerry’s food was “cooked to perfection” and each dish was “very well presented”.
