Orkney put three past Uist to get new era off to perfect start
An Orkney side including six debutantes got the Karl Adamson reign off to a winning start with a 3-1 victory over Uist and Barra on Saturday afternoon in Dingwall.
A first half strike from Thorfinn Stout put Orkney ahead in the tie before Uist hit back through a simple header to level things up at the break.
Orkney switched things about at the break with Mark Berry coming on, and the substitute made an immediate impact when he rolled the ball into the net on 50 minutes.
Just two minutes later Stromness striker Ross Slater got his first goal for the senior county side when he flicked the ball past the Uist keeper to hand Mr Adamson a perfect start to his managerial reign.
