Orkney records 17 new COVID cases
A total of 17 new COVID-19 cases have been attributed to Orkney during the past 24 hours.
This is according to data published by Public Health Scotland today, Sunday.
This is in addition to the 17 cases recorded in figures on Saturday.
Orkney’s director of public health has, however, clarified that some of the cases reported in figures this weekend come from a backlog of data which was not reported earlier in the week. This, coupled with some new cases, means the county is seeing an increase in positive results.
If you develop COVID-19 symptoms, or have a positive lateral flow test, you must book a PCR test. You can do this by phoning the COVID Assessment Centre on 01856 888211.
