Orkney RFC win nail-biting encounter

Orkney RFC made it three victories on the bounce as they won a nail biting encounter in East Kilbride, beating the hosts 18-17.

With East Kilbride seventh and Orkney in fifth at the start of the day, a close contest always looked likely, and so it proved with just one point the difference.

The win takes Orkney up to 48 points for the season, seven ahead of sixth-placed Perthshire who play RHC at 3pm, and 11 behind fourth-placed Haddington with two games in hand over the East Lothian side.
