Palace Players take first place overall at drama festival finale

Palace Players (Bishops) took the challenge cup for first place overall at tonight’s finale of the  2015 drama festival, with their production of Baby Sparklers, which they performed on Thursday.

Second place overall went to St Andrew’s Drama Club for their performance of Dig for the Diggers, with Stromness Drama Club picking up third for their production of Brenton versus Brenton.

Tonight, the third and final night of the competition, saw two plays performed: The Tour by Hoy and Walls Entertainments Group and Excess Baggage by Birsay Drama Group (Brough).

Both received feedback and praise from adjudicator Russell Boyce, who picked Birsay Drama Group as his winner of the night.
