Police appeals

Following reports of someone being bitten by a dog, police would like to speak to a man who was seen walking two black Labradors at around 7.30am on Friday, October 5, along the bridal way to the rear of Papdale East housing estate.

The man is described as being between 30 and 40 years of age with greyish-black short hair, wearing dark clothing, possibly a navy fleece top and dark jeans. He was also carrying a red dog lead.

Police are also seeking information following the theft of items from a sailing boat berthed at Stromness Marina.

The theft occurred sometime between September 3 and 16. A winch handle and an automatic inflatable horseshoe life ring were stolen.
