Restart scheme goes from strength to strength
Times have been tough for many and, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, households nationwide are facing a cost-of-living crisis — but, throughout it all, Employability Orkney has been supporting folk into paid employment.
A total of 16 people have found work after going through the Restart scheme, which is based out of the Junction Road secondhand shop of the same name. At the same time, the project has diverted over 100 tonnes of furniture and household items from landfill, giving them a new lease of life.
