Road work under way

Orkney Islands Council will be carrying out surface dressing and road marking operations this week at a number of locations.

The work is planned for:

• The Old Finstown road between Sunnybank and Bloomfield, and between Cursiter Quarry and Cruan.
• The Stromness to Finstown road between the Germiston road and the Brodgar road.
• The Evie to Birsay road between Lower Garthsetter and the Bu in Birsay.
• The Birsay to Dounby Road from the Bu to Stanger.

A convoy system for vehicles will be in operation while the work, which is weather dependent, is carried out.
