Rousing night of pipes to celebrate 100 years

A huge crowd turned out to witness a display of piping perfection on Broad Street this evening.
Kirkwall City Pipe Band celebrated their centenary year with a memorable parade involving Thurso and Stromness pipe bands, as well as members of Rendall Pipe Band and former KCPB members.
The three bands played 15-minute sets before joining forces for an exceptional encore, all three bands parading down Broad Street and giving a rousing rendition of Highland Cathedral to the delight of the crowd.
