Rovers claim narrow win over Dounby

Champions Kirkwall Rovers kept their title hopes alive with a 1-0 win over Dounby in the Orkney Cheese ‘A’ League earlier this evening.

Chris Simpson’s first-half strike for the hosts proved to be the winner, and the midfielder was later named as the Swannay Brewery Man of the Match.

The win leaves Rovers three points behind league-leaders Rendall, who beat Thorfinn 2-0 this evening.
