Saturday deadline for BID consultation

Members of the Kirkwall Business Improvement District (BID), who have been asked for their thoughts on the future of the initiative, are reminded that the deadline for responses is tomorrow, Saturday, May 31.

The future of the BID was called into question last month following the news that eight of its nine directors had stood down.

The consultation document asked members whether, among other things, they would like to see the BID boundary reconsidered, and whether they would be prepared to be more involved — for example, by joining the board or participating in future events.

In addition, members were asked specifically for comments or concerns on the BID.
